YO people!
i have just came back from OBS...
super duper FUN !!!
Went to Pulau Ubin to camp.
so excited.

DAY 1

arrived at ngee ann sec, waited for everyone to come.
Mdm Ashikin(sp?) came late. lol.
Jing Wei super funny brought moisturizer, tiger bum, and lots of 保养品.
hahas.
Gladwin and Teo Yan mistook the time to 7.30 p.m instead of a.m. so they came at 9 plus.
i think they take cab.
meanwhile, we waited for an hour then set off to pungol.
reached and i was like WOW, so many schools. we were like one of the latest.
k then i was in the same grp with Cynthia, Teo Yan and Si Min.(we were in the same grp for altc)

At first, Dini was in the same grp. but it was a mistake.
so in the end, Dini went to another grp and Si Min joined our grp.
got to know other people from other schools.
got Pungol Sec, Paya Lebar Methodist Girls sch and Maris Stella High sch.
total strength was 16.
sat a boat and off we go to Ubin!
everyone was like so quiet, very scared of one another.

our grp was LIVINGSTONE!
Instructor is Lewell. he's a super nice instructor. gentle giant.
members are Cynthia, Si Min, Teo Yan, Esmeralda, Deborah, Isabel, Esther, Jevons, David, Aloysius, Dylan, Amanda, Eileen, Donovan, Yu Hui and me. eveyone are nice:)

the skip skip,
i became the store ic, tgt with donovan.
learnt the names of many equipments.
lol
ate lunch tgt with livingstone. bread with jam.
went kayak afterwards.
get to capsize.
woohoo! haha
kayak no. 25 had lots of ants and magots on it.
lol
jevons and aloysius are suay cos they got to sit on it.
but b4 they sit we tried to clean off all the ants.
lol
we saw a jellyfish.
so kawaii.
it was like bobbing up and down.
lewell gave us a bonus which is JETTY JUMP.
lol Eileen was so afraid of jumping down
but she persevered and she did it eventually ^^
it was SHIOK!
lol
most of us wanted to do it one more time.
hahas. but sadly, one time nia. had a quick wash up and started preparing our dinner.
our dinner was rice and some random canned food.
all i can say is amanda's cooking skills were good !

then had to pitch our tents in the dark.
we had to climb up the stairs (101 steps) very tiring.
but it was very cool. there were all the high elements and they were indeed HIGH.
lol
slept at around 1am plus.
cannot sleep. i kept waking up very one or two hours.
shared tent with Esmer, Si Min, Eileen and Amanda.
we were sleeping like zombies.
haha.

Day 2

woke up at 5.30am
had to unpitch the tents(4) and brush up.
Lewell said this:
''You all can wake up anytime you like ...... as long as you all meet me at 6.30am.''
LOL.
had morning pt.
not as strict as altc.
very fun. we had to greet others in other language and some actions were sick .
lol
k think the straight.
drew our IDEAL LEADER. super cute and funny.
had belaying and did the double dual dangle.
partnered with Cynthia.
all of us had to climb to the highest and paste those words up:
Iniciative, Responsible, Planning, Love, Fair, Perseverance, Courage, Confident (forgotten the other one)
i managed to climb all the way up.
and Lewell was like kept repeating"It is called a double dual dangle for a reason."

everyone became a little more bonded. but some were still very quiet.
ate dinner. Maggi mee and some random canned food.
Teo Yan is seriously pro in opening cans.
i cannot even poke a hole into it.
lol
ate 2 mass tins of maggi.
but there were still some leftovers so we decided to give to another grp.
we went to pack our stuffs, and get ready to set off to campsite 1.
but we were quite slow and it was very dark by the time we set off.
i carried the bag with tents, groundsheet, waterbottles and the blue tarp.
couldnt find my poncho. guess who took 2? lol
the path was slippery and we were like omg.
Aloysius fell down. but lucky no serious injuries.
we pitched our tents at somewhere near a reservior.
so cool.
hah, this time i managed to sleep longer. heehee.

Day 3

woke up at the same time. then unpitched tents, did our morning pt.
did the dodo dance.
so funny.
then we had a challenge: Save our Ideal Leader!

we were all very co-operative.
we did it in the end.
well done livingstone.
lol
me and David then became the land expedition leaders.
we carried our backpacks and went to find the checkpoints.
the first challenge was to turn the blue tarp while we were all standing on it.
we did it quite fast.
the 2nd one was the one we had to use our fingers to push a pole up and put it down.
this was much more difficult.
3rd one was the hand game which we had to turn and form into a circle.
we took many tries.
we suceeded and formed 2 circles. TA-DA.
then the last one was to throw stones and catch it at the same time.
nvm, dunno how to describe.anyways, we went crazy by talking with the stones.
asking whether the stone was on belay.
the squeeze check, lewell check, etc, climbing, climb on.

we did it continuously for 3 times after many many times. we all had fun though it was tiring.
while walking, david and i kept bumping into spider webs.
the feeling wasnt nice.
saw a huge wild boar, medium one and a baby one crossing the pathway.
lol
must be one family. haha.
we only get to go to 3 checkpoints.
and then we went to our destination and...
we had the best dinner so far for this camp.
lol
had proper food.
rice, chicken wing, steamed egg and veg.
but i never eat the veg. i am a canivore. heehee
haha
found another canivore too. haha. guess who?
it is Jevons. lol
Teo Yan and i was like so unglam, using our fingers to twist and break the chicken wing. lol
then Jevons kept asking his friends to help him eat the veg. i asked Teo Yan to help me out and he saved me.
haha.
But Jevons wasnt so lucky cos none of his friends want to eat it.
so he ended up saying "screw you" to all his friends.
Amanda, Eileen and i was playing the 'spot the 'screw you' ' game.
then amanda and eileen helped jevons to say screw you in the end. lol
super hilarous.
Jevons and i ended throwing our leftovers into a dustbin nearby when lewell came towards our table.
washed the dishes and kept them back into where it was.
we get to wash ourselves too!
yay.
the funny part was that esmer accidentally walked into the boys toilet then she screamed.
she said she never see anything.
and David was like so scared cos he say he was half-naked at that time when he heard her scream.
haha.
we assembled near the swimming pool where the ground was warm.
Dylan claimed that it was hot.
lol
then Lewell asked us to imagine we are at bali(sp?)
all the contents were super sick. sth like bikini girls lol...
lol. but we had a great time laughing.
then had briefing for sea expedition.
combining with magellan. become magstone.
went to pack up things for the next day and went sleeping.
slept even longer hours liao.

Day 4

woke up at 4am.
setting off in our kayaks at 6.30am
shared the kayak with Cynthia and Donovan.
this means that we were in front cos Donovan was the navigator.
super tiring.
prefered to go in the middle.
everyone really choing-ed.
managed to kayak past the river of Ubin without having to step into the mud.
but i want to try cos is like an interesting experience.

rained too.
but we reached campsite 2 at 12 plus which was so EARLY.
we were expected to reach at around 2 plus or 3.
lol
had fun washing the kayaks.
then we ended our expedition.
haha
bath and chilled for 1h 30 min like that and played games at block 5.
first game was the chuchu train,
then the robot game.
then the feather thing that we used our hands to hit instead of legs.
that game was the best. so fun. volleyball style all come out.
we managed to hit it around 25 times without turning but for the turning ones we only can 13 haha
then the last game was the debating between body parts.
haha dun think sick.

the game goes like this: we have the hand, the foot, the heart, the eyes and the brain. then we represent the body parts and we need to say sth good about the body part relating to leadership and persuade others from other grps to join us.

i was in the foot team.
with Cynthia, Jevons, Aloysius and 2 other magellan guys.
has fun brainstorming and saying out all our crazy ideas.
Aloysius speech was super chim. haha. the rest of us agreed.
it was fun. haha
then we proceeded to pitching our tents and cooking.
i volunteered to help out in the tents.
we were getting better at pitching the tents. haha
finished pitching rather early. started to slack abit.
sat down and enjoy the scenery of the seaside and the jetty.

makan time.
super hungry.
the food was yummy.
Lewell made desert for us.
amanda's cooking was good!
yum yum. love the curry chicken.
oh ya, isotonic drink can make you go drunk. thant's wad Ali, Gladwin and some other ppl did.
lol
then washed up every thing and sleep. i slept near the tent door.
i slept super early and i was like a dead log.
sorry to amanda, eileen and esmer cos i did not wake up and move when u all call me to.
heard from si min that you all hit me and shout my name but i didnt wake up.
ps arh
simin say that when you all ask me to move to the right i just orh and didnt move.
i have no idea about this.
dunno i float till where le.
anyways, this was the only night i slept throughout the night.
super sleepy and my shoulder ache.

Day 5

woke up at 5.40 am around there.
everyone overslept. Cynthia was the first to wake up.
pro sia.
then same routine...
have pt... played a game. Captain on ship.
i first round out le.
haha
many of us tio forfeit.
had to do the macho dodo dance.
haha
very funny.
fun.
then we had to wash our groundsheet, flysheet, poncho etc...
check logistics. very busy.
lost a lot of things.
a back pack, dunno how many pegs, one spacer.
haiz. everyone helped out in the cleaning.
finished in around 2 hrs.
finally...
certificate time and returning of valubles.
everyone was despo for handphone.
haha
i nvr bring so cannot despo.
lol
thx for all of u 's comments.
after that we took back some food. jevon, simin and i took the leftovers...
can one week no need buy biscuits and bread le.
haha.
took a grp photo and left ubin
then at pungol jetty, we bought our t-shirt. it was 18 dollars.
departed and went back to nas.
went mac and filled our empty stomachs.
most of us think that obs was fun.
